My Grandpa Alvin is just like a big kid, and he is the most awesome influence for my own children in the world.  He is always happy to get down on the floor and play with them, and he does not even mind getting covered in mud with the boys.  He is really enjoying his bachmann branchline train sets, and I think that even more than enjoying the trains themselves, he is enjoying the fact that he gets to share them with his grand-kids.  They are pretty funny to watch and I think that it is a great bonding activity for all of them.
