I always thought of the lower half of the house as a place which I simply had no interest in because it was kind of damp and dank and basically just boring. I think I had gotten to where I saw it as just this place where we kept our washer and dryer and some storage but not really much of anything else. When we decided to clean it up in there, and got some new basement shelves, it changed all that. Once I had a nice place to keep all the odds and ends down there it made me much happier with the room!
