Now that your Facebook Profile is Public, Be Aware of what you Post
Did you know that if you Google yourself, your Facebook profile comes right up for the whole world to see? Try it. You may be surprised and thought you set your Facebook to friends only, you probably did, but the profile is now public. I know a lot of people who don’t seem to be aware of this, they post rather odd things that you probably wouldn’t want potential or current employers to see, especially now that the job market is so tight. I see this as a Facebook threat. Don’t risk your job by not doing a little thinking before you post to your profile on Facebook. Keep strong political, job related or off hours activities that you may not want publicized off your profile. You can still be yourself on Facebook, keep all the pictures you want there, communicate with your friends but be fully aware that your profile is now public! So take a little time and think before you post anything that you may not want the whole world to see.
