CDL Requirements – Disqualifying Offences
Aside from the CDL Requirements that you should have, there are also things that you should NOT have. By this, we mean you should not have any offences to your name that could disqualify you from getting a CDL. Here are the offences that will disqualify you.
Driving a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.04% or more.
Driving a CMV under the influence of alcohol as prescribed by State law. Refusal to undergo such testing can also be considered a offense.
Driving a CMV under the influence of an identified controlled substance, narcotic, amphetamine, or other illegal drugs.
Transportation of illegal drugs.
Leaving the scene of an accident caused by a CMV under one’s control.
Committing a felony using a CMV.
